DotGreen Community Inc. is excited to announce the launch of language specific DotGreen websites. It is our ongoing mission to connect with the green movement on a global level, and offering different languages allows us to engage on a broader level with those going green and those already promoting the green movement around the world.
DotGreen is excited to announce the launch of a new video: People & Planet: Green Costa Rica, the first in our series of Green events co-sponsored by DotGreen and Neustar. The day took us on a tree planting adventure deep in our planet’s rainforest with the local conservation organization Rios Tropicales. Sixty International Internet delegates challenged themselves in a twenty mile journey of class 3 and 4 rapids down the beautiful and mighty Pacuare River. The rain forest’s own message of value, importance, and protection went home to every region of the world as ICANN policy makers were willing to experience up close the lungs of our planet!
Mr. Stanislav Miler wowed the ICANN delegates who gathered to learn about the greener side of Prague during the DotGreen People & Planet Event on Saturday, June 23, 2012. He is a long time environmental lifestyle leader full of exciting adventure tales and fun highlights about his path to sustainability. In honor of DotGreen’s visit to Prague for ICANN 44 we wish to highlight one of the inspiring local Czech citizens we met while in the Czech Republic.
Our long-time supporters are keenly aware that our Founder, Annalisa Roger, started DotGreen Community, Inc. (DGC), to pursue the .green new top-level domain through the ICANN New gTLD Program. We have worked five years to bring together the green movement and the growing Internet, while promoting global sustainability initiatives and projects, including the formation and primary support of The DotGreen Foundation, a 501(c)3 Non-profit For Public Benefit Charity Organization.

When I consider the ICANN New gTLD Program, I see an “ecosystem” depending on a diversity of ICANN stakeholders including:
- TLD consultancy and service businesses and their clients
- IP / Trademark attorneys
- New gTLD applicants including existing registries, large portfolio applicants, new applicant entities, and single string applicants
- Domain Developers
- Large Corporations
- Small and medium sized businesses
- Non-profits and NGOs
- Individuals and Internet users
This ecosystem is waiting and relying on the overall success of the New gTLD Program and the timely and efficient introduction of new gTLDs to the Internet root.
The DotGreen Community, Inc. recently attended the Lifestyles Of Health And Sustainability Conference, known as the LOHAS Forum, a three-day conference in Boulder, Colorado focused on personal and planetary health and economic sustainability. Spread out across five local downtown buildings – a theatre, a meditation center, an art gallery, a local restaurant and Boulder’s own historic hotel – the LOHAS Forum brought us an inside view of the sustainable downtown area. Individuals and organizations were able to connect organically and share ideas in a colorful and unique atmosphere.
