People & Planet: Green Costa Rica

DotGreen is excited to announce the launch of a new video: People & Planet: Green Costa Rica, the first in our series of Green events co-sponsored by DotGreen and Neustar. The day took us on a tree planting adventure deep in our planet’s rainforest with the local conservation organization Rios Tropicales.   Sixty International Internet delegates challenged themselves in a twenty mile journey of class 3 and 4 rapids down the beautiful and mighty Pacuare River.   The rain forest’s own message of value, importance, and protection went home to every region of the world as ICANN policy makers were willing to experience up close the lungs of our planet!

The People & Planet event series is designed to highlight the tremendously beneficial and creative work of local green movement heroes, and bring ICANN delegates on an unforgettable adventure to inspire others in all regions of the world to begin their own paths to sustainability.  Our hope is that each person who experiences one of these events leaves with a greater understanding of their connection to our planet’s ecosystem, and the inspiration to go green in their own lives.

We look forward to the next event, Saturday October 13, in Toronto! It will be our third People & Planet event, and brings participants on an ecological tour of Ward’s Island, another tree planting, local eating, and a unique green transportation expo.  Details here.
