Global Public Interest

The .green TLD was formulated specifically for the purpose of forwarding the green movement, and providing global benefit to Internet users and all people. It was designed through a grassroots effort to make a positive impact, and has remained consistent in leadership and goals, throughout the ICANN New gTLD process.

DotGreen was the first to propose the .green new gTLD initiative to both the environmental community and the Internet industry. DotGreen has openly promoted the .green TLD for all and shared its commitment to sustainability and philanthropy, already giving in all regions of the world through a partnership with The DotGreen Foundation, a not-for profit charity organization. Another partnership with EarthShare, a Federation of 610 of the world’s largest not-for profit environmental and humanitarian organizations, will further the impact of DotGreen philanthropy.

DotGreen already demonstrates commitment to the green movement through philanthropic avenues, as well as consistent dedication to promoting green action and advancement. DotGreen has a presence at global green events, and even hosts its own environmentally focused People & Planet events for ICANN delegates.
