DotGreen at ICANN

To extend the reach of the green movement into the Internet industry community, the DotGreen team brings People & Planet events alongside international meetings of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). DotGreen’s most recent People and Planet events were in Beijing, China, Toronto, Canada, Prague, The Czech Republic, and on the Rio Pacuare of Costa Rica. People & Planet events unite Internet delegates from all over the world, with local greenies (environmentalists) to celebrate the growing green movement in the location we’re gathered. What this international group learns about the local progress towards sustainability is taken home and shared with others in far off corners of the world. People and Planet events are a time to value of our earth’s resources and inhabitants, and to further our own understanding of the meaning and significance of green initiatives and how they may vary in regions around the world.

DotGreen Community, Inc. and Neustar, the technical registry services provider for .green, sponsor People & Planet events and with collaboration from local green organizations, we learn about initiatives while the event benefits a local project.
